Which pain block gets liver surgery patients home sooner?

Summary
This study compares two ways to manage pain after liver cancer surgery: thoracic epidural analgesia and a four-quadrant nerve block. About 100 adults having open liver surgery at MD Anderson Cancer Center will be randomly assigned to one method. The goal is to see which approach leads to a shorter hospital stay and better pain control.
