First seen May 20, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether adding either dexamethasone or dexmedetomidine to a standard numbing medicine (bupivacaine) in a nerve block can provide longer pain relief after abdominal surgery. About 96 adults aged 25-65 undergoing laparotomy will be enrolled. The goal is to see which combination works better to reduce pain and the need for additional painkillers.
