New nerve block combo aims to slash Post-Surgery pain and opioid use
NCT ID NCT07382297
Summary
This study is testing whether adding a specific nerve block (iPACK) to a standard nerve block (adductor canal block) provides better pain relief after surgery to remove tumors around the knee. Researchers will compare pain levels and morphine use between patients who receive the combined blocks and those who receive standard pain medication. The goal is to find a more effective way to manage pain after this type of surgery, potentially reducing the need for opioid painkillers.
