Summary
This study compared two pain management approaches for children undergoing surgery to correct a sunken chest (pectus excavatum). Researchers looked at whether adding a specific nerve block to a standard freezing technique better reduced pain after surgery. They measured pain levels, need for extra pain medication, hospital stay length, and how quickly children could move around normally again.
