New nerve blocks battle Post-Surgery pain in kidney patients
NCT ID NCT06983249
Summary
This study aims to find out which of two different nerve-blocking techniques works better for controlling pain after open kidney removal surgery. Researchers are comparing the 'Rhomboid Intercostal and Subserratus Plane (RISS) block' with the 'Quadratus Lumborum block' in 50 patients. The main goal is to see which method provides longer-lasting pain relief and reduces the total need for strong painkillers after the operation.
