First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study tested two different ultrasound-guided nerve blocks to manage pain after laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy in 40 obese patients. The goal was to see which block provides longer pain relief and reduces the need for opioids, which can be risky in this group. Both techniques target nerves in the back or abdomen to improve recovery and comfort after surgery.
