Scientists track 'Genetic time Bomb' to unlock secrets of deadly lung disease

NCT ID NCT05584722

Summary

This study aims to understand why some people with a genetic risk for a severe lung disease called pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) develop the condition while others remain healthy. Researchers will track 150 participants, including patients, healthy people with the genetic risk, and healthy controls, over four years with regular check-ups and blood tests. The goal is to find biological clues that predict who gets sick, which could lead to better monitoring and future treatments.
