First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 34 times

Summary

This study tested an experimental drug called ACT-293987 in 43 adults with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), a serious lung condition that makes it hard to breathe. The trial first checked how a single dose affects blood flow in the lungs, then compared the drug to a placebo over 21 weeks to see if it improves exercise ability and other measures. The goal was to find out if the drug is safe and works well enough for further testing.
