NCT ID NCT05023200
First seen Apr 08, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
Cellulitis is a painful skin infection often treated with antibiotics, but doctors aren't sure how long treatment should last. This study followed 230 adults hospitalized with leg cellulitis to identify factors that predict a good recovery, such as medical history and early response to antibiotics. The goal was to develop guidelines that help doctors personalize treatment length, reducing unnecessary antibiotic use and side effects.
