New hope for Tough-to-Treat blood cancer: experimental drug trial opens

Summary
This study is testing an oral drug called pacritinib for people with Waldenström macroglobulinemia, a rare blood cancer, that has come back or stopped responding to other treatments. The drug works by blocking specific proteins that help the cancer cells survive and grow. About 30 participants will take the drug for up to four years to see if it safely reduces the cancer and its symptoms.
