First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 34 times

Summary

This study aims to find out if a simple blood test can identify breast cancer patients who are more likely to develop nerve damage (peripheral neuropathy) from the chemotherapy drug paclitaxel. Researchers will measure a protein called NFL in the blood after the first treatment cycle and track which patients need to stop treatment early due to nerve problems. The goal is to personalize chemotherapy to reduce side effects.
