First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study looks at 460 adults who need a pacemaker but have no history of atrial fibrillation. It compares three pacing methods to see which one best reduces brief, undetected rapid heartbeats (atrial high-rate episodes) that can lead to serious rhythm issues. Participants will be monitored for two years using their pacemaker's built-in diagnostics.
