Ozone vs. saline: which root canal rinse reduces stress better?
NCT ID NCT07171762
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study looks at whether using ozone water during root canal treatment can affect oxidative stress markers in the fluid around the tooth root. Sixty adults with a single-rooted tooth infection (asymptomatic apical periodontitis) will be randomly assigned to receive either ozone water or saline as a final rinse. Researchers will measure changes in stress-related substances in the tooth fluid right after treatment and one week later to see if ozone offers any benefit over standard care.
