Olive oil gel might replace bone grafts in dental implants, small study suggests
NCT ID NCT07368114
First seen Jan 31, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study tested whether ozonated olive oil gel could help dental implants fuse with the jawbone as well as a standard injectable bone graft. Sixteen adults needing a lower premolar implant were split into two groups: one received the bone graft, the other the olive oil gel. Implant stability and bone density were measured right after surgery and again at 3 and 6 months.
