Ozone-Infused bandage aims to soothe surgery wounds

NCT ID NCT07328698

Summary

This study is testing whether a wound dressing soaked in ozonated oil can reduce early swelling, redness, and discomfort after open hernia repair surgery. Sixty adults having this common elective surgery will be randomly assigned to receive either the ozonated oil dressing or a standard sterile dressing after their operation. Researchers will measure wound inflammation, pain, and healing over 30 days to see if the special dressing improves patient comfort and recovery.
