New study aims to shield fertility in women undergoing stem cell transplants

Summary
This study tests whether a single injection of goserelin before a stem cell transplant can help preserve ovarian function in women with blood cancers. 64 women aged 14-50 will be randomly assigned to receive goserelin or not, and their menstrual recovery will be checked 6 months later. The goal is to see if this simple approach can reduce the risk of early menopause and fertility problems caused by the transplant.
