Robots aim to send prostate cancer patients home same day

NCT ID NCT04319146

Summary

This study is testing whether a common surgery for prostate cancer, which is normally followed by a hospital stay, can be safely performed as an outpatient procedure. It will involve 20 men with localized prostate cancer who are scheduled for robot-assisted surgery. The main goal is to see if patients can recover enough to go home the same day without needing to be admitted to the hospital.
