First seen Jan 25, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study tested whether small belly hernias can be safely repaired in a regular clinic room using local anesthesia, instead of in a full operating room. 37 adults with small hernias took part. The approach was found to be safe, with good pain control and high patient satisfaction, suggesting a simpler and more efficient way to perform these common surgeries.
