First seen Mar 04, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study looked at 34 people getting braces who needed four premolars removed. Researchers compared how fast and how much the gaps closed when teeth were pulled just before braces (fresh sites) versus waiting for the gums to heal first (healed sites). The goal was to help dentists decide the best time to remove teeth to shorten treatment time.
