Simple pill could stop painful spasms during common heart test

NCT ID NCT06447688

Summary

This study tested whether taking a pill called verapamil two hours before a common heart artery imaging procedure could prevent painful spasms in the wrist artery. Researchers enrolled 150 patients undergoing the procedure to see if the oral medication reduced spasms compared to standard care. The goal was to make the procedure more comfortable and successful by preventing this common complication.
