New pill tested to boost power of cancer radiation treatment
NCT ID NCT02595879
Summary
This early-stage study is testing a new oral drug called Triapine, given alongside standard chemotherapy (cisplatin) and radiation for patients with advanced cervical or vaginal cancer. The main goals are to find the safest and most effective dose of Triapine and to see how well the body absorbs it when taken as a pill. Researchers hope adding Triapine will help kill more cancer cells than the standard treatment alone.
