First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 22, 2026 · Updated 33 times
Summary
This study followed 145 adults with type 2 diabetes who were prescribed oral semaglutide (Rybelsus) by their doctors. The goal was to see how well the drug works in real-world conditions, not in a controlled lab setting.

What this could lead to
If successful, this could confirm that oral semaglutide effectively lowers blood sugar and helps with weight loss in everyday clinical practice for type 2 diabetes.
What could go wrong
This is an observational study, not a controlled trial, so results may be influenced by factors like patient selection or adherence. It does not test a new drug, only gathers real-world data.
