Summary

This study looked at whether giving oral iron supplements to women with iron deficiency anemia helps their bodies respond better to vaccines. 180 women in Kenya were split into groups: some got iron before vaccination, some got it at the same time, and some got a placebo. The goal was to see if iron timing affects immune response to COVID-19, meningitis, and typhoid vaccines.
