New blast of radiation and drugs aims to shrink mouth cancer before surgery

NCT ID NCT07335380

Summary

This early-stage study is testing a new combination treatment for people with oral cavity cancer who are scheduled for surgery. The goal is to see if giving a targeted, high-dose radiation therapy along with chemotherapy and immunotherapy drugs before the operation is safe and can shrink the tumor. Researchers will enroll about 30 patients to find the safest dose and see how well the treatment works.
