New scan timing could catch returning prostate cancer earlier

NCT ID NCT05678322

First seen Apr 16, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study looks at the best time to use a special PET scan (rhPSMA-7.3) to find prostate cancer that has come back after the prostate is removed. Men with a rising PSA level will get one or two scans to see where the cancer is hiding. The goal is to catch the cancer early so treatment can start sooner.
