Computer alert aims to catch kidney disease earlier

Summary
This study tests whether an alert in the electronic health record can help primary care doctors refer patients with blood and protein in their urine to kidney specialists. About 1,200 adults at Geisinger Clinic will take part. The goal is to see if the alert improves referral rates and helps catch kidney problems sooner.
