New heart mapping could stop deadly rhythm episodes in their tracks
NCT ID NCT06937983
First seen Feb 02, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study tests a new way to find and destroy the diseased heart tissue causing ventricular tachycardia (VT), a life-threatening fast heart rhythm. About 77 adults with heart disease and an implanted defibrillator will undergo a standard ablation procedure, but guided by a novel mapping method called DeEP. Researchers will check if the new approach stops VT episodes during the procedure and over the next year, aiming to improve long-term control of this dangerous condition.
