NCT ID NCT04565704

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 02, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study is testing new optical imaging tools that can look at gut tissue samples without destroying them. Researchers want to see if these images can help detect diseases like those affecting the stomach or intestines. About 200 people scheduled for a routine upper endoscopy or colonoscopy will take part. The goal is to compare the new images with standard lab results to see if the method works.
