Can back surgery be done without opioids? new study investigates
NCT ID NCT07489001
Summary
This study aims to see if using anesthesia without opioids during back surgery can control pain just as well as traditional opioid-based methods, while reducing side effects like nausea and constipation. It will observe 75 adults undergoing elective lower back surgery, comparing three different pain management approaches chosen by their doctors. The main goal is to measure pain levels and opioid use in the first two days after surgery.
