Summary
This study compared two ways to fix a ventral hernia (a bulge in the belly wall): traditional open surgery and robotic-assisted surgery. Fifty-six adults were randomly assigned to one method. Researchers looked at how long people stayed in the hospital, pain, cosmetic results, and satisfaction. They also measured stress from surgery using blood tests. The goal was to see which approach leads to better short- and long-term outcomes.
