Can a website replace your genetic counselor? new study tests online cancer risk screening
NCT ID NCT05427240
Summary
This study is testing whether a self-guided website can work as well as traditional in-person visits with a genetic counselor for people getting tested for inherited cancer risk. Researchers want to see if the online approach helps more people get tested while still providing good information and support. They will compare the website to standard care in 1,000 adults who qualify for genetic testing based on family or personal cancer history.
