Your own cancer cells could stop colon Cancer's return
NCT ID NCT02448173
Summary
This study tests whether a personalized vaccine called OncoVax can prevent colon cancer from returning after surgery. The vaccine is made from each patient's own cancer cells and aims to train the immune system to recognize and attack any remaining cancer cells. The trial will enroll 550 patients who have had surgery for stage II colon cancer, with half receiving the vaccine and half receiving standard care alone.
