NCT ID NCT04829929
First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study is testing a device called the Omega LAA Occluder, which is placed in the heart to close off a small pouch (the left atrial appendage) where blood clots can form in people with atrial fibrillation. The goal is to reduce the risk of stroke without needing long-term blood thinners, which is especially important for patients at high risk of bleeding. About 200 participants with non-valvular atrial fibrillation and a high bleeding risk are being enrolled to see if the device is safe and works well.
