Radiation boosts failing breast cancer drugs in new trial
NCT ID NCT06925984
First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study tests whether precisely targeted radiation (SBRT) can extend the usefulness of current hormone therapy or CDK4/6 inhibitors in women with ER+/HER2- metastatic breast cancer that has started to progress in just 1-3 spots. Participants continue their existing medication while getting radiation on the growing tumors. The goal is to delay switching to a new treatment, potentially keeping a well-tolerated therapy effective longer.
