NCT ID NCT06218459
First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026
Summary
This small pilot study tested a non-medical treatment called OldPain2Go® for people with chronic low back pain. The treatment uses subconscious communication to help patients see their pain as less threatening. Only 5 people took part, and the study was stopped early, so results are very limited.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- OldPain2Go® (a non-medical intervention using subconscious communication to reframe pain)
- What this could lead to
- If this approach proves feasible, it could lead to a larger trial testing whether OldPain2Go® helps ease chronic low back pain without drugs.
- What could go wrong
- This is a very early pilot with only 5 participants, and the study was terminated early. The treatment is non-medical and its effectiveness is unproven.
