New hope for toughest lymphomas: experimental combo targets Cancer's repair system

NCT ID NCT03259503

Summary

This early-stage study tested a new combination of drugs for patients with aggressive lymphomas that have come back or not responded to standard treatments. The main goal was to find the safest dose of a drug called olaparib when given with a powerful chemotherapy regimen before a stem cell transplant. Researchers hoped this combination would work better than chemotherapy alone for these difficult-to-treat cancers.
