Quick office procedure aims to fix carpal tunnel without major surgery

NCT ID NCT05675046

Summary

This study tested a new, minimally invasive procedure for carpal tunnel syndrome that can be done in a doctor's office using ultrasound guidance. It involved 149 adults whose symptoms didn't improve with simpler treatments like splints or injections. The main goal was to see if this quicker procedure was safe and effective at reducing pain and improving hand function over three months.
