Summary

This study tests a device that uses changes in pupil reflexes to objectively measure how well opioids relieve pain. Researchers aim to replace subjective pain scores with a reliable measurement, helping doctors prescribe the right dose and reduce the risk of opioid misuse. The study includes 40 participants aged 7 to 21 who are already receiving opioids for pain.
