Summary

This phase 2 study tests HRS-4729, a once-weekly injection, for weight loss in adults with obesity who do not have diabetes. About 252 participants will receive either the drug or a placebo. The main goal is to see how much body weight changes after 32 weeks compared to a placebo group.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
HRS-4729 injection
What this could lead to
If successful, this could offer a new once-weekly injection to help people with obesity lose significant weight.
What could go wrong
This is an early phase 2 trial, so the drug may not prove effective or safe enough for wider use. Side effects are possible, and results may not apply to everyone.
