First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study tested whether a 12-week high-protein nutritional drink could help people who had a liver transplant maintain muscle mass and improve their recovery. Thirty adults on the liver transplant waiting list took part. After their transplant, some received the supplement while others did not, and researchers tracked muscle mass, strength, and quality of life.
