Summary
This study tested whether a special oral nutritional supplement (Ensure Complete) could help patients with blood cancer maintain weight and gut function after a stem cell transplant. 100 participants were randomly assigned to receive either the supplement or a standard hospital shake for 7 days before transplant until discharge. The main goal was to see if the supplement helped prevent weight loss at 28 days after transplant.
