Nurses teach dialysis patients to protect lifeline
NCT ID NCT07168239
Summary
This study tested whether a nurse-led education program could help people on dialysis take better care of their vascular access (the 'lifeline' used for treatment). Researchers taught 166 patients how to spot problems and prevent complications with their access site. They measured if patients' knowledge and self-care habits improved after the training.
