Summary
This study tested whether a special program of nurse consultations before and after minimally invasive heart valve procedures could improve patient care. Researchers compared 194 patients who received the nurse support to those who did not, looking at recovery times, satisfaction, and complications. They also tested whether follow-up phone calls worked as well as in-person visits after the procedure.
