Scientists probe why some lung infections worsen while others Don't

NCT ID NCT07363798

Summary

This study aims to understand why some people with a chronic lung infection called NTM-PD get worse and need antibiotic treatment, while others stay stable. Researchers will observe 50 adults with the disease, analyzing their immune cells from lung fluid and blood, and assessing their nutritional status. The goal is to find clues that can help doctors predict which patients are at higher risk for disease progression.
