First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study compares two types of wound therapy for people with severe, rapidly spreading skin infections called necrotizing soft tissue infections. About 30 adults will be randomly assigned to receive either traditional negative pressure wound therapy or a version that also cleans the wound with fluid. The goal is to see if the cleaning version reduces hospital readmissions and speeds up wound healing.
