Laser zaps breast tumors without surgery in new trial

Summary
This study tests a laser therapy that destroys small breast tumors (15 mm or less) in one session, potentially replacing surgery. About 122 women with early-stage breast cancer will receive the laser treatment. The goal is to see if it works as well as standard lumpectomy, with fewer side effects and faster recovery.
