New novavax vaccine targets latest COVID variant in midlife adults

Summary
This study tests a single dose of a new COVID-19 vaccine designed to protect against the JN.1 variant. About 6,500 healthy adults aged 50 to 64 who are not at high risk for severe COVID will receive either the vaccine or a placebo. Researchers will track who gets sick with COVID over 180 days to see if the vaccine works and is safe.
