Walking poles tested to help kids with cerebral palsy walk better

NCT ID NCT05644652

Summary

This study tested whether Nordic walking—walking with special poles—could improve walking patterns in children with cerebral palsy who have weakness on one side of their body. Researchers enrolled 40 children aged 6-10 years to see if using the poles, which engage the upper body, could help make their steps more even and balanced. The goal was to see if this simple activity could be a helpful therapy for improving how these children walk.
