First seen Apr 02, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study tested whether a nonsilicone gel sheet can help improve thick, red burn scars in adults. 49 burn survivors used the gel on one scar area and no treatment on another for comparison. The goal was to see if the gel reduced scar thickness, redness, and improved skin flexibility and symptoms like pain and itch.
