First seen Mar 24, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study tests if adding special gels (sodium hypochlorite/amino acid and cross-linked hyaluronic acid) to standard deep cleaning helps treat periodontitis, a serious gum infection. About 78 adults with deep gum pockets will receive one of three treatments and be checked after three months. The goal is to see if the gels reduce bleeding, plaque, and pocket depth safely.
